CeeCee decides to rip the
band-aid off the following afternoon.
“I … I have something to tell you, Sri. I'm, well, I'm pregnant.”
Sri is no fool. He knows
he and CeeCee haven't woohoo'd in at least four days. There's no way
this baby can be his. “Whose is it?”
CeeCee doesn't want to
say, but she knows she owes him the absolute truth. “It's
Deandre's. But it was a mistake, it won't happen again. We'd just had
a fight and...” The look on Sri's fact causes CeeCee to fall
silent. No matter what has happened between them, the result is the same and
CeeCee knows she can't justify it.
Sri calls an unsuspecting
Deandre over. He doesn't mince his words.
“How dare you take
advantage and seduce my wife!” Without letting Deandre
defend himself, Sri pounces on him.
This chapter,
unfortunately, now marks the end of a friendship. Deandre and Sri now
despise each other. Oh no :(
Inside the house (probably
around the same time her husband is beating up her lover) CeeCee
cooks breakfast for her and Alba. CeeCee tries explaining to her daughter that there's a little brother or sister on the way, but Alba doesn't
seem to understand what that means.
Aww, Alba cleaned up the
dishes all on her own! I wish we could have the parents praise
children for certain actions!
In the meantime, although
CeeCee feels bad about having betrayed her wedding vows, she doesn't
forget that her husband is a no-good criminal and she doesn't feel
comfortable about letting her daughter be around him on her own. Therefore, she takes
Alba along with her to the park where she plans to play for tips this
afternoon. Alba is only too thrilled to follow her mom. She has the
Rambunctious Scamp aspiration after all and she has to play on the
jungle gym while playful to complete her first milestone.
On the pirate ship, Alba
meets Elizabeth Spencer-Patel who is creative just like her! I can't
remember the other girl's name but I think her trait is Self-Assured.
Anyway, it doesn't seem like she and Alba hit it off
Alba and Elizabeth become
friends really quickly though. Just look how adorable she is!
I hope they stay friends for a long time!
Alba then plays on the
monkey bars to increase her motor skills.
There she meets this other
totally adorable little girl! I forgot to write down her name though,
but I hope she'll become friends with Alba. I can just see her,
Elizabeth and Alba forming the cutest little trio, hehe ^^
CeeCee is also really
successful at the park. She gets many tips...
And spends some time with
her daughter
“Are you sure it's safe
up there, Alba? It looks awfully high … be careful!”
The girls head home late
in the afternoon. After a quick dinner and shower, they call it a
night. Sri is of course the last one home. His fun is so low that he
immediately crashes on the couch for a midnight-TV session. He's
so exhausted that he hasn't even put away his sack of cash yet.
but he learned his
lesson last time and he'll hide it before CeeCee can see it.
I guess there's still some
relationship-mending to do...
